    Key features and workflows

    Creating Email Campaigns and Managing

Being able to oversee and run your various campaigns is the most important aspect of this service.

    Emails sent/opened and links clicked

The engagement statistics tab keeps track of who’s opened what and when

Deliverability rate and delivery by time zone (spam)

You can adjust delivery rates to avoid the bounces and spam folders that often come with a clear pattern of delivery

    Creating and importing email lists

If you have a current contact list you can upload this from a CSV, Excel or Vcard file

    Split tests and A/B tests

Unfortunately, there’s no option for A/B testing

    Personalization

Personalization tags can be added to users to create tailored communication

    Reporting and Analysis

Most aspects of your ongoing and previous campaigns are analyzed and recorded.

Engagement reports (Email open rate and CR tracking)

Graphical engagement statistics give you an overview of your success rates

    Segmentation

Manage your contact groups into whatever order you’d like

    Social media tracking

If you include social media links in your emails, these will be tracked

    ROI analysis

The conversions tool allows you to assess prospective ROIs for future campaigns

    Integrations

There’s a decent range of different options for integration.

    API integrations

A variety of API options allow you to fine-tune your service

Integrations with these platforms: Ecommerce, Shopify, Magento, Bigcommerce and Woocommerce

Of the above, only Shopify is available

    CRM Integrations

Many of the available apps are CRM related, such as Nutshell

    Social Media integrations

Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest are supported

    Apps

    There are 66 integrated apps

    Plugins

Zapier can connect you with a number of plugins

    Automation

The options for automation with this service are slightly lacking when compared with similar providers. However, there’s still plenty that you can take control of, including sending bulk emails to segmented audiences based on their timezone, switching keywords in content based on a user’s subcategory, and syncing with social media accounts.

    Design and Ease of Use

There’s no point in utilizing this service if you have to be a master programmer to make it work. But here are some features to make using it more accessible.

    Drag and Drop Interface

Drag and drop into your emails; not just visuals and text, but even products and webpage screenshots

    Landing page creator

You can customize your landing page using the simple creation tool

    Email templates

An extensive template gallery gets you on the road to making your perfect email

Sign up forms within newsletter tool (opt in-opt out process)

The drag-and-drop feature can even be used to create email and newsletter signup forms

    Summary

Mad Mimi is a reliable and affordable service that helps you bolster your number of subscribers. The Basic plan is very good value, although it’s rather limited in what it offers. There’s a fair number of options for personalizing your campaigns and syncing with social media, but the lack of automation possibilities and split testing means there are better choices out there.

For example, Get Response offers much of the same service for a similar price. However, it has more comprehensive automation options, offers a variety of A/B tests, and has a larger customer base.
