Founded in 2005, the UK-based MPZMail has been in the email marketing game for some time now and with that longevity comes experience. They’ve undergone some big changes over the years - with a new UI, a range of different features and scalable price plans, MPZMail makes for a powerful tool.

Pros
- Flexible pricing - With a range of prices from a free 1,000 subscriber account, to paid plans for up to 100,000,000 subscribers, the sky's the limit. Their pay as you go service allows you to dip in and out when needed without commitment
- Email design options - Drag-and-drop, HTML coding or simple text; what’s your preferred method of email design? Luckily, it doesn’t matter because this platform offers all options in an easy-to-use tool. If you have your own templates already, simply import them and off you go
- In-depth analysis - Useful for fine-tuning your campaigns and customer interactions, MPZMail has analytics and reports which can be exported in a spreadsheet or visualized on your dashboard. They also offer website tracking, so you can trace where your customers are coming from and how they interact
- Clean UI - Prior updates brought in a new UI which is really easy to navigate. A central dashboard gives you useful stats like the number of new subscribers and emails opened. Different functions are clearly divided making it easy for you to get stuck in without all the associated head-scratching
Cons
- No live support - The only source of contact with customer services is via email. With the company being based in the UK, this could cause some communication delays if you’re situated elsewhere in the world
- Disruptive past updates - I’ll admit, it’s a bit harsh to list this here. The update did bring about many improvements, but unfortunately left some existing customers struggling to migrate to new systems
Who Is MPZMail Recommended For?
With their massive range of prices, this service has something for everyone, whether you’re a single entrepreneur or a large corporation. The range of features within each function means you can jump straight in with the basics, or take advantage of advanced capabilities on offer.
Who Is MPZMail Not Recommended For?
If you’re just getting started with email marketing, you’ll probably want some help understanding how things work and setting everything up. You want to be making the most of all the features available to you after all. Unfortunately, the email-only support and potential time zone differences could make this a drawn-out procedure with a large learning curve. If you already have other systems in place you’re wanting to integrate, there could be some limitations there too.

This table has been grouped to give you a quick overview, but monthly plans are split into over 70 individual prices based on the number of subscribers you email per month. This means you can have a larger subscriber pool at a lower price providing you’re only emailing a segment of this base every month. There’s also a pay-as-you-go credit scheme that starts from $11 for 1,000 emails.
Cancellation / Refund Policies
You’re able to cancel your subscription anytime and changes will activate at the end of your current billing, without any refunds for the remaining time on it. There’s no limit or penalty on how many times you change your plan but if you downgrade, the price difference won’t be refunded. If your account violates terms and conditions, your account may be canceled without notice, so don’t be naughty!
MPZMail Features
A few years ago, MPZMail had a big overhaul to a new system and with that added a new interface, updated tools and additional features. Here, I’ll be looking at some that stand out, to see if they fit your purpose.
· Ease of Use
Upon signing up, you’ll be met with a dashboard and easy-to-follow instructions on how to get going with pre-made automation and templates to work from. The help and support page gives you all the basics but does lack some depth.
· Email Template Designer
This is one of the big overhaul features, and a great improvement. Here you can choose from a library of easily editable, visual and/or written templates. You can also import your own material, or get stuck into some HTML coding. Truly something for everyone.
· Intelligent Analytics
By navigating to each campaign, you can see a performance deliverability overview at the click of a mouse complete with timeline charts and further breakdowns. The viewer is clear and direct so you can use the info to better your campaigns.
· Automated Email Testing
Perform trial runs before sending emails to ensure the best deliverability and be gone with the tediousness of trial and error. The automated tool will flag what you need to adjust and direct you to adjustments to ensure your delivery is tip-top.
· Email Validation
A healthy mailing list means a healthy sending reputation. This automated feature means you can scan your subscriber emails and remove any dodgy addresses. Seeing as pricing is based on subscribers sent to, this could also save you a pretty penny!
· A/B Testing
Another feature that allows you to finetune your campaigns for maximum deliverability potential. Send two different sets of emails to a number of subscribers, then analyze the interactions before deciding on the best option to advance with.
· Autoresponder
Create triggered automatic responses by using pre-made settings or starting from scratch. What’s more, you can apply multiple autoresponders based on different groupings and actions for multiple purposes. When you’re live, you can even see it processing in real-time.

Email marketing automation - When sending bulk emails, the resend function is automation that allows you to deliver the same email again - make sure your subscribers don’t miss a beat! Automations by groupings allow you to send emails in response to certain actions (added as a subscriber, has a birthday, etc.) for that personal touch without you having to lift a finger.
Automated testing - The ability to automate campaigns through A/B testing or email deliverability tests means you can make an instant impact. Get live feedback instead of having to look back through previous campaigns and save bags of time.
MPZMail Software Integration
Direct integrations are handy for you to seamlessly control your workflows and allow different systems to communicate. While MPZMail does have several direct integrations with CRMs and ecommerce platforms, you’ll find your choices quite limited. However, Zapier integration does allow these capabilities to be expanded through a middleman, so it’s not the end of the world!
Migration - Initially, setting up with a new delivery system may be daunting, but MPZMail comes with integrations that allow you to sync up and transfer data directly from several other major email marketing platforms. You’re also able to import subscriber lists through Google Sheets integration.
MPZMail Alternative Brands
Active Campaign - If you’re wanting more than just an email marketing tool, this platform offers a full customer relationship experience. The costs can seem steep in comparison, but with that extra spending, you’re getting other tools like web designers, live chat and sales tracking capabilities all in one place.
EmailOctopus - Coming in at the low end of the budget, EmailOctopus still offers you plenty of features that help grow your subscriber pool and create unique email campaigns. The targeted email system also allows you to communicate with your customers on a personal level.
MailerLite - Unlimited emails on scalable plans with instantly available features make this a solid tool for a growing company. You also have the option to pay for some additional services, such as a dedicated account manager and website building tools.
Conclusion
For a straight-up email delivery service, MPZMail hits the nail on the head. Using years of experience, and focusing on features that ensure the best delivery has made for a formidable tool. The integrations could leave a bit to be desired, but the overall value for money is great for what you get.
