PROS
- Good Email Deliverability: thanks to good design, your emails have a higher chance of actually reaching your subscribers rather than ending up in the spam box and being ignored by potential customers.
- Easy to Use: getting started with PinPointe doesn’t take ages and there is nothing fancy that you need to learn or understand before using all the features. If you’ve never used a tool like this you may have to get used to it before fully taking advantage of the features, but that likely won’t take very long.
- Adaptable Templates: the templates that you get to use are all editable and you can change them to meet your goals quite easily. The drag-and-drop editor adds to the ease of use.
- Effortless Scheduling: PinPointe makes it really easy to schedule emails to be sent out when suits your subscribers the best. You can plan when they should be sent and leave the rest to the software.
- Limitless List Segmentation: you can make as many lists as you need to in order to organize your subscribers. You can separate them by business, time zone, region, frequency of openings, and more. This also makes it easy to search through your data.
CONS
- Needs More Templates: although the templates are all good-looking and editable, there aren’t many options to choose from. This may change in the future though.
Who is PinPointe Good For?
- You want: an easy-to-use email campaign builder that offers analytics for effective marketing strategies.
- You’re looking to: schedule your emails and build lists for a simpler approach to sending out thousands of emails at once.
PinPointe Isn’t Recommended For:
- If you need great template variety: the email templates are currently a bit limited in what’s on offer
- You want a free subscription: PinPointe does not offer a free package at this time.

Naturally, the monthly fee will increase with the number of subscribers you have. For example, if you choose the Professional package and have 150,000 subscribers, you will pay $648 a month.

PinPointe Features
PinPointe is stuffed with really great features, and I’ve decided to highlight the best ones here. These are the features that make PinPointe a highly recommended email marketing tool.
· Email Design
Rating: 4.4/5
Thanks to its WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) drag-and-drop email editor, designing interesting emails is pretty straightforward. You don’t need any coding knowledge to create the kind of emails that you want.
Although there aren’t many email templates, the ones that do exist are creative and good-looking. They can also inspire you to come up with some nice ideas of your own.
· Insights & Analytics
Rating: 3/5
PinPointe doesn’t really offer much in the form of analytics, but what they do offer is more than enough. Thanks to Google Analytics integration, you will be able to keep an eye on your campaigns.
All the analytics you need to ensure the best possible performance are covered and you can integrate Google Analytics from your own site if you wish to.
The activity report section has an actionable overview of your campaign statistics.
Engagement reports (Email open rate and CR tracking)
Optional graphical view of your current success rates
Social media tracking
There’s currently no option for tracking your social media broadcasts
ROI analysis
A simple online calculator can be used to assess past ROIs
· Ease of Use
Rating: 4/5
Overall, PinPointe is not at all difficult or complicated software to get used to or make the most of. You don’t need special HTML or coding mastery to build and keep track of successful email marketing campaigns.
There are a number of templates and design functions to enhance the creation process.

Sign up forms within newsletter tool (opt in-opt out process)
The creation of opt-in sign-up forms can be automated
· Segmentation
Rating: 3.8/5
PinPointe has made a point of ensuring that segmentation is as easy as possible. You can create and manage custom email lists and segment them with different fields that can be filtered.
You can also segment your subscribers based on their previous activity, which decreases the likelihood of your emails being ignored or left unopened.
· Email Campaign Previewer
Rating: 4/5
It is important that your emails look good no matter where your subscribers view them, and PinPointe’s email campaign previewer was made for this purpose.
You can design emails that will display correctly regardless of which devices they’re received on.
The previewer will show your emails with complete accuracy for more than 50 email clients.
· Email Deliverability
Rating: 4/5
PinPointe makes use of the best technology and practices to ensure that your emails have a high delivery rate.
The software does this by managing soft and hard bounces as well as by re-routing outbound email traffic to other IP addresses. PinPointe is a tier 1 ISP with its own IP addresses that help keep its network running and promises inbox acceptance rates between 95% and 98%.
· Autoresponders
Rating 4.2/5
Thanks to Pinpointe’s autoresponders, you can easily create drip campaigns that are triggered by certain events.
You can build a sequence of emails to be sent automatically over a specified time and manage cart abandonment, product trials, and more.
These personalized emails can be crafted to nurture leads as they go through the buyer’s journey and increase sales.
· Online Email Spam Checker
Rating: 4.6/5
Sending out marketing emails is often accompanied by the risk of them ending in spam boxes or folders, but that’s not going to happen when you use PinPointe.
It has an online email spam checker with which you can quickly check your email campaigns for spam-related issues with just a single click.
The spam-checking and scoring feature runs your emails through a “Spamassasin engine” that will calculate an email spam score that is based on several factors such as the HTML coding, words and phrases used, tags, and links.
You will then be given the resulting score with details on what you should change to make sure your emails go where they’re meant to.

PinPointe Automation
Pinpointe On-Demand specializes in B2B companies and is understanding of the fact that these larger companies will require more robust automation features. As such, it provides individual email-specific automation options, even if your monthly outgoing emails number in the millions!
PinPointe Alternatives
Although PinPointe offers many great features, you may feel it’s just not right for you. In that case, there are a few other options you can choose from, such as:
Sendinblue - With Sendinblue you can get your hands on a free plan that includes marketing automation, phone support, and up to 300 emails per day. You can also make use of other advanced features like lead scoring and web tracking.
You are charged based on how many emails you send, not how many subscribers or contacts you are targeting, which is a refreshing difference.
ActiveCampaign - Thanks to easily navigable menus and a user-friendly design, ActiveCampaign has become a well-loved email marketing tool. You can store all your assets in one centralized hub for optimum organization.
In addition to offering many great features, you also have access to over 120 templates that will help you get started on creating responsive emails.
MailerLite -MailerLite may not be as well-established as some of the more popular email marketing tools out there, but it’s fresh and innovative. You get a modern, clean approach to email marketing with MailerLite that is quite pleasing.
It is very affordable and easy to use but not as good if you’re looking for in-depth analytics.
Customer Service
You can email for customer service at support@pinpointe.com, or call during business hours on +1 408 834 7577.
Conclusion
PinPointe is a quality and trustworthy cloud-based email marketing solution that should be more than able to achieve all your marketing goals. It’s rich in features and fairly easy to use: a winning combination.
If you have a large business with many contacts currently on your mailing list, Pinpointe On-Demand might be a worthwhile service to pursue. A lot of the design process can be automated, and the automation options can support upwards of one million emails, which could potentially save thousands of hours of work. The free trial is also a solid selling point, however, the options for cross channel orchestration are limited. Plus, the pricing only goes up to 100,000 contacts, and if you have any more than this you’ll need to contact the company for a quote. Therefore, if you do have hundreds of thousands of subscribers you’ll be looking at a very high monthly fee.
A service that caters to all, including those with a large list of subscribers, is Constant Contact. It has equally impressive automation options but comes a little more reasonably priced.
